Google brings Gemini Omni video creation to Google Ads Asset Studio

Google is making Gemini Omni video creation available inside Asset Studio. Advertisers can enter brand guidelines, a website URL and a creative brief to generate video storyboards and motion scenes, refine the result in natural language and deploy it into Demand Gen and Performance Max campaigns.

01 · WHAT HAPPENED?

One flow from brief to campaign

Per Search Engine Land reporting dated August 25, 2026, Google integrated Gemini Omni into Asset Studio inside Google Ads. Advertisers can now generate campaign ready videos from creative briefs and brand assets.

Per the Google Asset Studio announcement, the flow is described in four stages: establish the brand, generate concepts, refine the creative and deploy the finished assets.

The core claim here is consolidation. Video production that used to be scattered across separate tools now sits in one place, so the advertiser generates, corrects and deploys the video without leaving the environment where the brief was written.

02 · THE DETAILS

What can be generated and where it can be deployed

On input, the advertiser provides brand guidelines and a website URL, then writes a creative brief or selects existing static assets. Gemini Omni generates video storyboards and motion scenes from those inputs.

Refinement happens in natural language. Per Search Engine Land, the advertiser can adjust scenes, voiceovers, pacing and aspect ratios through prompts.

On formats, the system can produce 16:9 horizontal and 9:16 vertical versions. In practice that reduces the need to separately produce variations for different placements.

The output connects straight to campaigns. Finished assets can be exported from Asset Studio into Demand Gen, Performance Max and other Google and YouTube campaigns.

The sources also carry a caution: advertisers still need to scrutinize whether the generated videos genuinely meet their brand standards. Relying solely on how the system interprets brand guidelines is not advised.

On timing there are two layers. The Asset Studio update with Gemini Omni was announced as part of Google Marketing Live 2026, while the Search Engine Land report dated August 25 covers video creation becoming available.

03 · WHY IT MATTERS

The bottleneck in creative production is moving

The assessment in this section is ours. Performance advertising has known one thing for a long time: the biggest variable determining campaign outcome is creative. As automation took over bidding and targeting, creative was left as the remaining area of differentiation.

This announcement looks exactly there. When the cost and time of video production fall, the number of creatives a brand can test rises. A small budget business that previously entered the race with a single video can now enter with five variations.

But the bottleneck does not disappear, it moves. Once production gets cheap, what decides outcomes is idea quality and selection discipline. A setup that can produce fifty videos but cannot measure which one works does not beat one that produces a single video.

The second point is brand consistency. The caution in the sources is well placed: the system interprets brand guidelines, it does not enforce them. A person needs the final word on color, tone, pacing and language. Otherwise the output is technically clean but does not look like the brand.

The third is disclosure. Transparency in AI generated ad content keeps becoming a rule, as with the IAB AI disclosure framework. Moving production inside the platform does not remove that obligation.

04 · TURKEY

What it means for businesses in Türkiye

The assessment below does not appear in the sources, it is our reading. The announcement mentions no Türkiye specific timeline and notes the rollout runs in English first.

The main reason small and mid sized businesses in Türkiye stay away from video advertising is cost and time. A business that cannot allocate a production budget never enters YouTube and Demand Gen inventory at all. Lowering the production threshold can change that picture.

On language, though, realism is needed. Because the rollout is described as running in English first, taking Turkish voiceover and Turkish copy into a campaign without testing quality is risky. Mistakes in Turkish pronunciation and stress are the fastest way to make a brand look cheap.

The second practical point is brand input. The system asks for brand guidelines and a website URL. Many businesses in Türkiye have no written brand guide. If color, typography, tone and prohibited phrasings are not defined, consistent output cannot be expected. Getting value from this tool therefore requires the brand to have written its own rules first.

The third is measurement. Producing many creatives only helps if you can see which one converts. Creative testing without correctly built conversion measurement turns into guesswork.

The fourth is regulation. The commercial advertising regulation that took effect in Türkiye on August 1, 2026 brings a disclosure obligation for AI generated content. Even when production happens inside the platform, that responsibility stays with the advertiser.

The UNALSOFT take

On the AI ad films side we use tools like this as part of our production line, not as the line itself. A tool going from brief to video is a starting point for us. The real work is whether the idea is right, whether the brand voice survives, and whether the Turkish actually sounds Turkish. The most common mistake we see in the field is skipping the selection stage because production got easy. We do not publish every generated variation: we filter against the brand guide first, test with a small budget, then scale the winner. And one rule never moves: we do not interpret the disclosure obligation for AI generated content in the client's favor, we apply it plainly.

Do not wait for a production budget to enter video advertising.
