Meta's first image generation model, Muse Image, is coming to the ads stack

Meta Superintelligence Labs introduced Muse Image, its first image generation model, on July 7, 2026. The model reasons through complex creative briefs, composes from multiple references and can restyle a brand's existing ad visuals. It rolled out on Instagram and WhatsApp, and its integration into Advantage+ creative tools for advertisers was announced.

01 · WHAT HAPPENED?

The second major release from Superintelligence Labs

On July 7, Meta announced Muse Image: the first image generation model produced by Meta Superintelligence Labs, the unit led by Alexandr Wang. It is the lab's second major release, following the Muse Spark language model introduced in April. Meta is not positioning it as a consumer toy only: the same announcement confirmed that Muse Image will power the Advantage+ creative tools aimed at advertisers. In other words, the image model was wired into the ad revenue engine on the day it was introduced.

02 · DETAILS

What the model can do, and where it runs

Muse Image's distinctive claim is reasoning: instead of translating a prompt straight into pixels, the model thinks first; it plans the layout of the composition, looks up real-time web context when needed, and can blend multiple visual references at once. It can render legible text inside images, which makes infographics and how-to content possible. Users can request edits by circling or sketching directly on top of a photo, refining a creation step by step without starting over. More than 30 suggested presets, from photo restoration to room redesign, are part of the package.

The model is currently accessible through Meta AI; it arrived on Instagram Stories with more than 30 AI effects and on WhatsApp with in-chat generation in limited countries. Facebook, Messenger and other surfaces will follow later in the year. On the ads side, the Advantage+ integration opens in the coming weeks: starting from a brand's existing creative, the model adjusts elements, swaps styles and generates variations, aiming to produce on-brand ad variants with fewer iterations. In internal benchmarks reported by CNBC, Muse Image trailed OpenAI's GPT Image 2 while beating Nano Banana 2 in single and multi-image editing tasks.

03 · WHY IT MATTERS

AI creative is being embedded into the ad platform

The real story here is not the model itself but its position. Image generation is moving from being a separate app into the platform where the ads are sold: brief, production, variation and delivery all run in one system. For advertisers, that means lower creative production costs and faster testing cycles. For the platform, it means keeping ad budgets inside its own toolchain. In an environment where producing creative becomes this easy, the quality of a single generated image stops being a competitive advantage on its own.

04 · TÜRKİYE

What it means for businesses in Türkiye

For small and mid-sized businesses in Türkiye, creative production cost has long been one of the biggest advertising barriers; tools like Muse Image will shrink that barrier considerably. But in a market where everyone has the same tool, the difference comes from who runs it, not from the tool itself: building a consistent visual world for the brand, connecting the right message to the right audience and managing campaign strategy through measurement all take skill. As production democratizes, the management and strategy layer gains value. Businesses that adopt these tools early and deliberately will run more experiments on the same budget and learn faster.

The UNALSOFT take

Our reading is clear: AI creative is now a native part of the ad platform, and producing visuals will get easier for everyone. The difference will not be in production but in direction; those who can design a brand's visual language, message and campaign structure as a whole will pull ahead. That is exactly the approach in our AI ad films service: content is built for the brand, AI generation is blended with real footage shot on DJI equipment when needed, and the result is tied to campaign strategy. Tools change; this layer does not.

Tools change, strategy stays.
