41% of long LinkedIn posts are fully AI-generated
According to research by AI-detection firm Pangram, which analyzed more than a million posts, roughly 41% of long LinkedIn posts (over 250 words) were flagged as fully AI-generated, the highest share of any platform. The study shows social feeds filling rapidly with AI-generated content and turning authenticity and trust into a new concern.
A million-post AI scan
Pangram analyzed 1,002,627 posts collected through its Chrome browser extension, with data gathered since the extension launched on April 24, 2026. In the analysis, roughly 41% of long LinkedIn posts (over 250 words; the report phrases it as "over 40%") were flagged as fully AI-generated, the highest figure across all platforms. The report was published by Pangram CEO and co-founder Max Spero on July 9, 2026; Social Media Today covered the findings for marketers on July 20.
The AI share, platform by platform
Although LinkedIn made up about a third of the scanned posts, it alone accounted for 62% of all flagged AI content. On top of that, top posts on the platform (those standing out by comment count) were 1.35 times more likely to be AI-generated. On X (Twitter), nearly half of long posts carry AI traces: 23.9% fully AI, 22.9% AI-assisted or mixed, and only 53.2% fully human-written; X's overall per-post saturation is 10%.
More than 21.9% of Substack posts were flagged as AI-generated or AI-assisted. On Reddit, the total AI share stayed at 4.4%; while 98.1% of replies were human-written, top posts reached 11.6%. Across all platforms, on average one in four long posts on social media was flagged as fully AI-generated. The report also stresses a limitation: no AI-detection software is 100% accurate, so pinning down the exact scale of the problem is difficult.
As feeds fill with AI, trust gains value
As platforms embed generative AI into every post box, feeds increasingly fill with generic, look-alike content. That saturation pushes authenticity and trust to the front: in an environment where everyone produces similar text with the same tools, a real and distinctive human voice becomes more visible. It is telling that the heaviest concentration of AI content is on LinkedIn, the professional network, precisely the place where trust and reputation matter most. As producing content gets easier, attention and trust become the scarce resource.
What it means for businesses in Türkiye
For small and mid-sized businesses in Türkiye, the takeaway is clear: as LinkedIn and X feeds fill with generic AI-generated content, real and original posts increasingly stand out and earn trust. For a business that wants to rise above the noise, authentic, human-voiced content built for the brand is now a differentiator. AI can be used to speed up production, but the final word should belong to the brand voice, real experiences and an original point of view. In a period of rising expectations for transparency, authentic content is the most solid ground for both visibility and reputation. Content that speaks the customer's language and shows real use and experience feeds trust directly.
The UNALSOFT take
Our reading: as producing content gets easier for everyone, value comes not from the production itself but from authenticity. Generic AI text gets lost in the feed, while a real human voice and a brand-specific point of view stand out. That is exactly the focus of our UGC marketing service: we use AI for speed, but build the content with the brand's real voice, authentic experience and the customer's language. The goal is not to add one more post to the feed, but to produce content that builds trust.
Feeds are crowded, trust is scarce.
