Search Console platform properties are now globally live

On July 29, 2026 Google made Search Console platform properties globally available to everyone and published a guide on reading social and video content performance the same day. Once Instagram, TikTok, X and YouTube accounts are verified, the performance of their posts in Google Search, Discover and Google News lands inside Search Console reports.

01 · WHAT HAPPENED?

The staged rollout is finished

A post dated July 29, 2026 went up on the Google Search Central blog: platform properties are now globally available to everyone, and a new guide on social and video performance comes with it. Barry Schwartz filed the story at Search Engine Land at 09:21 the same day. At Search Engine Journal, Matt G. Southern wrote that the opening completed three weeks after the staged rollout began; the feature was announced on July 7, 2026 and said at the time to be rolling out over the following weeks.

The Google statement relayed by Search Engine Land draws the scope clearly: the point is to answer "how your social and video posts on Instagram, TikTok, X, and YouTube perform" across Google Search, Discover and Google News. The help document published the same day focuses on interpreting the data: understanding your search audience, finding trending content, analysing content across platforms, improving existing content and comparing formats.

02 · DETAILS

Three reports, four platforms and clear limits

The data does not live in a separate interface, it lands inside Search Console's existing reports: Performance, Insights and Achievements. The supported platforms are Instagram, TikTok, X and YouTube. According to Search Engine Journal, search terms are no longer limited to the accounts the staged rollout had reached, and are now shown for every account on the four platforms. As relayed by PPC Land, the Achievements report tracks growth milestones in 28 day windows, while the Performance report can filter clicks and impressions by post and by query.

The limits are worth knowing up front. PPC Land writes that the feature measures discoverability in Google Search only and does not track engagement inside the platform itself: how many people saw a post in the TikTok feed is not in these reports. Every account has to be verified individually, there is no bulk import, data takes a few days to populate on newly added properties, and verification has to be renewed periodically. This is also not the same thing as Search profiles, announced in June 2026, which creates public profile pages; platform properties are about analysis and performance tracking.

03 · WHY IT MATTERS

Search value on a surface you do not own becomes measurable

Search Console has always worked through a domain you own. In Search Engine Land's phrasing, there was no real way to see how content performed on properties you do not own. Social content, meanwhile, has been showing up in search results for a long time: an Instagram post or a TikTok video turns up on a brand query. How many clicks that visibility produced was a matter of guesswork. That is exactly what changes here: the guess turns into a report.

The second consequence is about access. According to Search Engine Journal's July 7 story, the feature was designed to be accessible to creators who do not have a website of their own. A brand no longer needs to own a site to use Search Console. In practice that means teams who treat social as visibility rather than as publishing can see which post surfaces on which query and build the content calendar around it. The decision on the search side can rest on data that has nothing to do with like counts.

04 · TÜRKİYE

What it means for businesses in Türkiye

This section is our own assessment and appears in none of the sources; Google published no Türkiye specific data. What is true here is that for a great many businesses the digital presence is mostly an Instagram or TikTok account. For them, search visibility has been unmeasurable: no site meant no Search Console. Platform properties close that gap directly.

Four practical notes. First, verify accounts one by one and put the verification renewal step in the calendar, because forgetting it cuts the data off. Second, do not expect data immediately, since new properties need a few days. Third, do not confuse these reports with the platform's own analytics: what you see here is clicks and impressions on the Google Search side, not the in-app reach of a post. Fourth, the real gain is in the query data, because once you can see which search term found you, the next piece of content can be built to answer that term. If you do have your own site, place this data next to your site data rather than in place of it, since the two surfaces feed each other on the same query.

The UNALSOFT take

In our brand management work a social account is not a publishing channel, it is a brand surface that also appears in search results. A post's job does not end when it collects likes; the same post can be the first thing a brand query returns. Platform properties make that second life measurable for the first time. We prefer to read the content plan through queries rather than likes, because a query shows intent.

Visibility is data, not a guess.

Let's measure your brand's surface on the search side together.
