What Google's automated assistant collected for your profile, you can now see and delete

On September 14, 2026 Google announced that a Collected info tab is now available in the Business Profile dashboard. The tab lists the details Google's automated assistant gathered by calling, texting or messaging the business on WhatsApp, each with its source and date, and lets owners delete outdated entries with a two-step confirmation. The feature is limited to select regions, languages and business categories; nothing was said about Türkiye.

01 · WHAT HAPPENED?

What the automated assistant collected now sits in one dashboard tab

Search Engine Land reported on September 14, 2026 that Google Business Profiles had rolled out the Collected info tab; the same day Google's official Business Profile account (@GoogleMyBiz) posted the announcement on X. The core of it: business owners can now review "details verified by Google's automated assistant" right inside the Business Profile dashboard. According to Google, businesses can head to the Collected info tab to see what was gathered and delete anything outdated; the post came with a dashboard screenshot showing the tab. Search Engine Land writes that testing began a few months ago: Search Engine Roundtable first covered the feature on June 22, 2026 based on a LinkedIn post, and on July 13, 2026 relayed Google's own Business Profile Forum explanation with screenshots. This week's news is Google officially announcing a feature that spent the summer in limited testing.

02 · DETAILS

Source, date and a two-step delete: how the tab works

According to Google's help document, the mechanism is this: Google may send automated messages by call, text or WhatsApp to the verified phone number on the profile, and answers to those messages may be used to update the profile. Each collected item shows its source and collection date and appears in the language it was first provided in. Reviewing takes four steps: open your Business Profile, choose Edit profile and then Collected info, check each entry for accuracy, and to remove one select Delete, then Delete again to confirm. The document's note matters: deleting removes the item from Google's records but does not change other details already on the profile. The same document limits the feature to select regions, languages and business categories, adding that it may not be available to all users. For examples, Search Engine Roundtable's July 13 post relayed Google's forum explanation naming curbside pickup, customer parking and walk-ins; Google said the info comes from phone or chat conversations with the business and is used to match it with customers seeking such services. Google's separate page on automated calls and texts adds opening hours, service availability, appointments, restaurant wait times, and product prices and stock.

03 · WHY IT MATTERS

Automated updates can be wrong; the tab brings transparency and control

Search Engine Land's take is direct: Google often updates business details on its own, and its automated systems can get it wrong. Until now those changes were hard to trace; an owner could find a wrong opening hour or service on the profile with no clue where it came from. Because the new tab lists entries gathered by phone and chat with source and date, it brings transparency and control to those automatic changes. Search Engine Roundtable's July post added that deleted entries are removed from Search and Maps records too. Two limits remain. First, deleting an entry does not roll back details already on the profile; a wrong answer written into a field has to be corrected separately. Second, Google did not say which regions, languages or categories are covered, and shared no rollout timeline. Search Engine Roundtable's June post also listed web research among the collection channels; whether the tab shows entries from that source is not spelled out.

04 · TÜRKİYE

Is the tab live in Türkiye? The sources do not say, so check the dashboard

The boundary first: none of the sources mention Türkiye or a country-by-country list. Google only says select regions, languages and business categories; its automated calls page uses the same wording, and the one concrete exclusion list it gives is five US states. So the first job for a business in Türkiye is to open the Business Profile dashboard, go to Edit profile and see whether a Collected info tab appears. If it does, the practical order is: review the entries by source and date; remove a misheard opening hour, service or parking detail with the two-step Delete; then fix the matching field on the profile by hand, because deletion does not revert existing details. A note for whoever answers the phone: every reply to the automated assistant can end up on the profile, so the phone and the profile need to say the same thing. Businesses that want no automated calls can turn them off in advanced settings or by replying STOP; Google also says it never asks for payment, card details or passwords. For most small businesses a wrong hour in the local pack is a lost visit.

The UNALSOFT view

Our reading: Google now builds profile information not only from what a business writes but from what it says in a conversation, and those records are now visible in the dashboard. In our brand management work we recommend a regular checklist for clients' Google Business Profiles, and the Collected info tab is a new item on it: scan entries by source and date, delete the wrong ones, correct the profile fields the same day. We do not know when the tab reaches everyone in Türkiye; we do know a phone answer can end up on the profile, and preparation starts there.
