Amazon handed the data behind Seller Central to outside AI agents
On September 23, 2026, at its Accelerate conference in Seattle, Amazon announced an upgraded Seller Assistant and a new Amazon Selling Partner plugin. The plugin connects a seller's Amazon data to whichever AI agent that seller already prefers. It works with Amazon Quick and Anthropic's Claude, and is in beta for U.S. sellers.
Seller data left the panel on the Accelerate stage
Amazon's newsroom said it is giving sellers a smarter Seller Assistant along with a new plugin for Amazon Quick and Anthropic's Claude. GeekWire reported on September 23, 2026 that the announcement was made at the company's Accelerate conference in Seattle. The new Amazon Selling Partner plugin links a seller's Amazon data, meaning listing contributions, real-time performance metrics, inventory levels and sales analytics, to the AI agent that seller chooses.
Amazon says the connected agent can act on that data the same way Seller Assistant does inside Seller Central. Setting up the connection takes roughly 60 seconds and requires no coding. The plugin is currently in beta for sellers in the United States, with international expansion planned. Mary Beth Westmoreland, Vice President of Worldwide Selling Partner Experience, described the goal to GeekWire: "Our vision was that they would never have to log into Seller Central".
A canvas, a memory that persists, and a free year of Quick Plus
According to GeekWire, Seller Assistant is gaining a canvas feature that builds visual workspaces out of live seller data. The assistant also gets persistent memory, holding on to pricing patterns, inventory cycles and growth goals, so a seller does not have to restate the same context with every question.
The adoption figures Amazon published show the scale behind the move. The company says Seller Assistant is deployed to more than 90 percent of its selling partners worldwide and has hundreds of thousands of active users. Amazon also says sellers accept the assistant's recommendations more than 90 percent of the time, and that 90 percent of its selling partners already use third-party AI tools. Amazon says every primary account holder globally can sign up for a free 12-month Amazon Quick Plus subscription through December 31, 2026, and can designate two additional co-workers for complimentary access.
When an agent takes over the panel, data quality moves first
The numbers explain the stakes. GeekWire reports that independent sellers account for more than 60 percent of Amazon's unit sales globally, and that seller fees generated 46.8 billion dollars in the second quarter. Changing the interface through which that volume is managed reaches further than an ordinary product update.
The second point is that the direction of travel reverses. Until now a seller logged into the panel to see their data; the plugin turns that around and carries the data to the agent the seller is already using. Amazon's own figure, that 90 percent of selling partners use third-party AI tools, suggests the plugin is built on an existing habit rather than a new one. We covered the marketplace side of agentic shopping in yesterday's issue; this announcement is the seller side of the same file.
The sources never mention Türkiye, so this section is commentary
Neither source contains a single statement about Türkiye. They say the beta is limited to sellers in the United States and that international expansion is planned, but not which countries are covered, in what order, or on what timetable. There is no figure, date or regulatory reference concerning Turkish sellers, Turkish language support or local marketplaces. What follows is therefore not a fact drawn from the sources but explicitly UNALSOFT commentary.
Our reading is that the announcement changes nothing today for a seller outside the beta, yet it does define what is worth preparing. Whatever inventory, price and performance data an agent reads is exactly what its decisions will be made of. The unknowns deserve to be listed one by one. The sources do not say: when the plugin might become available in Türkiye, the timetable and country list for international expansion, whether Turkish language support is coming, which agents beyond Amazon Quick and Claude will be supported, what happens to Amazon Quick Plus after the free 12 months, which data actually leaves Amazon through the plugin and how it is stored, which actions the agent is authorized to take inside a seller account, how long the beta will run, or how many sellers it covers. Nor do the sources address how KVKK or comparable data rules would treat this flow.
The UNALSOFT view
For us the subject here is not the interface but the data. If an agent reads inventory, price and performance data from a seller account and then acts on it, the consistency of that data stops being a reporting concern and becomes the quality of the decision itself. Missing variant details, inventory that syncs late, prices that contradict each other across channels: these are the faults that pass unnoticed in a dashboard and push an agent into the wrong action. That is exactly why our e-commerce panel work keeps catalog, stock and order data in one place. Because the sources do not say whether the plugin will be available in Türkiye, this article makes no prediction about it.
Is your inventory and price data clean enough for an AI agent to read it safely?
A short conversation is enough to bring catalog, stock and order data into one panel and make it consistent.
