Meta pushes its updated Commercial Terms to November 20
According to a Reuters report dated October 23, 2026, Meta moved the start of its revised Commercial Terms and Self-Serve Ad Terms from October 30 to November 20, 2026. A Meta spokesperson said the extra time was needed to explain to partners what is changing and what is not. Behind the story are publishers and digital advertisers who took complaints to EU and UK competition authorities, arguing that the new terms would let Meta use their content without limit in its AI services; Meta has rejected those claims. The AI Features section of the preview places all risk on the advertiser; a Meta spokesperson said advertisers can switch off Advantage+ features one by one in Ads Manager. Per PPC Land, the European Commission welcomed the delay.
Canva releases Canva Craft, an image model trained on design templates
On October 22, 2026 Canva announced Canva Craft, an image generation model it describes as the first foundation model it built and trained from scratch. It comes from Canva Research, its in-house AI lab: a planning model first writes out the elements, the visual hierarchy and the text, then a separate rendering model turns that plan into the final image. Per Canva, training data includes millions of templates made by people for its content library; output reaches 2K resolution in more than 30 aspect ratios, and Craft can place text in 55 languages. It is open to users worldwide in the Dream Lab tab and through the public Canva API. The ranking claims are Canva's own.
1Password launches a tool that lets AI agents sign in without seeing your password
On October 22, 2026 1Password announced 1Password for Agents in a post bylined John Torrey. When an agent reaches a sign-in page it asks for the credential it needs, the user reviews and approves the request in 1Password, and 1Password fills the details into the site itself; neither the password nor a one-time code goes to the agent. Integrations for Meta's Muse and SpaceXSI Grok Bot are rolling out over the coming days, with others such as Anthropic's Claude Duet and OpenAI's ChatGPT Work coming soon. The feature is offered at no additional cost for Individual and Family accounts on 1Password.com, while 1Password.eu and .ca accounts are not yet supported. Users can see what will be shared.
