Google Ads brought a text disclaimer asset to Search ads
On August 1, 2026 Google published the help page describing the text disclaimer asset for Search ads. The 90 character asset is guaranteed to appear in the first eligible description space of a responsive search ad and stops assets pinned to description line 1 from serving. It is open to all advertisers globally and is compatible with AI Max features. If disapproved, the ad keeps serving without the disclaimer.
Data Manager API v1.8: an audience list clears in one call
The v1.8 entry dated July 30, 2026 in the official Google Data Manager API release notes brings three things: the RemoveAllAudienceMembers method that removes or replaces all audience members in user lists, field level warnings during ingestion instead of failing the whole request, and expanded address fields for Google Analytics event ingestion. Customer Match maintenance gets simpler.
The entry cost of a scam farm has fallen to $5,000
HUMAN Security's Satori team published the FunFoneFarm report on July 28, 2026. Entry to an operation built from openly sold hardware, cloud phone services, orchestration software and an AI layer costs $5,000 upfront plus $450 a month, or $2,970 a month with no upfront and 25 virtual phones on rented infrastructure. Fake account production, account warm up and residential IPs are all in the bundle.
