Google brings Gemini Omni video creation to Google Ads Asset Studio
Per Search Engine Land reporting dated August 25, 2026, Google integrated Gemini Omni into Asset Studio inside Google Ads, letting advertisers generate campaign ready videos from creative briefs and brand assets. The advertiser provides brand guidelines and a website URL, writes a brief or selects existing static assets, and the system generates video storyboards and motion scenes. Scenes, voiceovers, pacing and aspect ratios can be refined with natural language prompts, and 16:9 horizontal and 9:16 vertical versions can be produced. Finished assets can be exported directly into Demand Gen, Performance Max and other Google and YouTube campaigns. The sources stress that advertisers still need to check whether generated videos meet their brand standards.
Meta tests automatic DM replies to Instagram ad comments by keyword
Per Social Media Today reporting dated August 25, 2026, Meta is testing a feature called Reply to Keywords on Instagram ads. The advertiser defines at most five keywords, and when a user comments one of them on a promoted post the system automatically sends a pre-written private message. The advertiser writes the message content, and it can include a link, phone number or email. The feature currently appears only for select advertisers and inside Instagram ad setup tools, not for Facebook ads. Similar functionality already existed through Meta inbox automation and Meta Business Agent options, with the new part being its placement directly in the ad setup flow. The feature was first reported by Jon Loomer and Meta has published no official announcement.
WhatsApp: over a billion people use passkeys, multiple passkeys and stronger passwords arrive
Per the WhatsApp statement, more than a billion people on the platform have set up a passkey on their account, and users can now add more than one passkey if they use both Android and iOS devices. Two-step verification moves from the long standing six digit PIN to a longer alphanumeric password that can include special characters, with the aim of making it harder to guess. On Android, calls from unknown numbers show the user whether the number originates from a different country and whether there is a shared group membership with the caller. Social Media Today published its report on August 25, 2026 and noted the updates are offered on both Android and iOS.
The agenda moves fast, the system stays calm.
