GPT-6 reaches every ChatGPT tier, and answers now arrive as interactive interfaces
On October 7, 2026 OpenAI announced that GPT-6 is opening to all ChatGPT users, free tier included, together with a new capability called Intelligent UI. Depending on the question, ChatGPT can now reply with charts, forms, tappable buttons and small tools that run inside the conversation. Paid tiers went first; Free and Go join from the following day.
Last month's paid-only model is now for everyone
In its October 7, 2026 post, OpenAI recalls that it shipped the first GPT-6 models to paying customers only last month. This time it is rolling out a new GPT-6 model designed for the over 1.2 billion people who open ChatGPT every week. Intelligent UI sits at the centre of the release: the model assembles each reply from text, visuals and interactive elements, choosing the mix according to what was asked.
According to the company, a reply can now contain visuals, tappable buttons, forms, charts and interactive experiences that work right inside the chat. Users can also request a tool for whatever they are doing at that moment, for example a calculator showing how savings could grow, a helper for splitting a dinner bill among friends, or a game to play in the conversation. OpenAI adds that when plain text is the most useful answer, ChatGPT can still simply reply in text.
A component library, a compiler, and answering while thinking
On the technical side OpenAI describes two pieces: a library of native components that can be streamed, and a compiler that handles the interface while the model is still producing it. That lets the interface appear step by step instead of waiting for the full reply. The second change is speed. GPT-6 can start replying before it has finished thinking, weaving the two together. OpenAI says that on questions requiring web search, GPT-6 Instant on average begins its answer 44% earlier than GPT-5.6 Instant.
The schedule is clear. On October 7, GPT-6 with Intelligent UI began a global rollout in the Chat tab for the Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise tiers, and OpenAI says the rollout widens to Free and Go from the following day. Search Engine Journal likewise reports that Free and Go users start receiving it from October 8, the day after the announcement. For Enterprise, access depends on the workplace admin's settings. Paid tiers run on GPT-6 Sol, while Free and Go run on GPT-6 Luna. The models behind Work and Codex stay as they are in this release. Citing ChatGPT's help page, Search Engine Journal adds that Intelligent UI is arriving gradually on the web and in updated apps, across every thinking level between Instant and Extra High; the Pro level, which still runs on GPT-6 Astra, and older macOS and Windows versions of the ChatGPT desktop app do not support it.
Simple tool pages will compete with tools built inside the chat
OpenAI frames the move as a reversal of how people relate to software, closing its post with: "Instead of people adapting to software, software will adapt to people." In practice, the answer to a question may no longer be a list of links or a plain paragraph but a small application where the user changes values and watches the result update.
Search Engine Journal's commentary points straight at the open web: the interactive tools ChatGPT now builds could end up rivalling dedicated calculator and converter pages. That is the publication's assessment, not OpenAI's. Still, it is a scenario worth planning for if a site draws traffic through a loan calculator, a unit converter or a basic comparison table. Content that offers original data, a real service or verified expertise, beyond anything ChatGPT can assemble by itself, remains easier to defend in this setting. We looked at ChatGPT's move toward becoming an app platform on September 30.
The sources say nothing about Türkiye, so this section is commentary
Neither source mentions Türkiye. OpenAI describes the rollout as global but gives no country list, and there is no Türkiye-specific date, no information on how Intelligent UI behaves with Turkish-language answers, and no local user figure. This section is therefore not a fact drawn from the sources but explicitly UNALSOFT's commentary.
Our reading: because the rollout is described as global and covers the Free tier, ChatGPT users in Türkiye can reasonably expect to encounter the new experience, although the sources do not confirm it. The unknowns, one by one: the exact rollout date in Türkiye, which components appear for Turkish questions, whether pricing changes at all (the post does not mention pricing), and whether Intelligent UI will be offered to developers through the API (the post does not say).
UNALSOFT's take
We read this less as a model update and more as a change in the shape of an answer. A generic calculator on a business website is now something ChatGPT can put together in seconds; the lasting value sits in what only the business knows, such as real data, stock, a price list or an appointment calendar behind the tool. The practical step is to connect on-site tools to the business's own data and to publish that data in a form AI assistants can read. In our agentic AI work we treat that connection as a separate step. Because the sources carry no data about Türkiye, this article does not suggest a local rollout date.
