Ads go agentic, and social feeds fill with AI
Today's 3 verified headlines: Meta opened its ad system to AI agents, Google is moving Local Services Ads into Performance Max, and a study found roughly 41% of long LinkedIn posts are fully AI-generated. Each story's full analysis, sources and business impact live on its own page.
Meta opens its ad system to AI agents
On July 16, Meta for Developers opened the Ads MCP server that runs its advertising system to every developer with a Meta app. AI applications can now create and edit campaigns, manage custom audiences and catalogs, and pull performance reports without writing custom Marketing API integration code. Agencies processing data on behalf of others must clear app review and the Advanced Access permission.
Google moves Local Services Ads into Performance Max
Google is moving Local Services Ads, managed in a standalone dashboard in the US, into Google Ads as a new pay-per-lead Performance Max campaign type. The phased migration begins in August 2026. Manual bidding is replaced by automatic bidding, campaigns run on Business Profile data, and there is a critical caveat: historical performance data does not migrate and must be downloaded in advance.
Study: 41% of long LinkedIn posts are fully AI-generated
AI-detection firm Pangram analyzed more than a million posts. Roughly 41% of long LinkedIn posts (over 250 words) were flagged as fully AI-generated, the highest share of any platform. As feeds fill with generic content, authentic, human-voiced content is becoming a differentiator.
The agenda moves fast, the system stays calm.
