Meta makes video from static ad images generally available
At Advertising Week New York on October 6, 2026, Meta announced a new set of AI ad tools. Inside Advantage+ creative, advertisers and agencies can now turn the static images they already have into video, and Meta says the feature is generally available. Converting catalog product images into product video at scale is still in beta, and for now only eligible beta advertisers can reach it. Ads Creative Studio, introduced over the summer, is rolling out to more advertisers, with new tools to swap the opening hook, tune audio and clip length, and add text and captions. Meta is also testing direct checkout with Shopify in Meta Business Agent on Messenger.
GPT-6 reaches every ChatGPT tier, and answers now arrive as interactive interfaces
On October 7, 2026 OpenAI announced that GPT-6 is opening to all ChatGPT users, free tier included, together with a new capability called Intelligent UI. Depending on the question, ChatGPT can now reply with charts, forms, tappable buttons and small tools that run inside the conversation, and it can still simply reply in text when plain text is the most useful answer. The rollout began globally on October 7 for the Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise tiers, and OpenAI says it widens to Free and Go from the following day. OpenAI says that on questions requiring web search, GPT-6 Instant on average begins its answer 44% earlier than GPT-5.6 Instant.
